Globally, countries are investing in cleaner and more reliable public transport systems and electric buses hold the key to driving this global transition. India has emerged as a leader for e-buses in South Asia, aiming to deploy 50,000 e-buses by 2030. As the country charts its unique e-bus trajectory, fostering knowledge exchange and sharing best practices among government, industry, and civil society stakeholders becomes crucial.
In anticipation of these conversations on e-mobility at the upcoming COP28, WRI India is facilitating this session that aims to bring together stakeholders driving the global e-bus journey thus far. The session offers a platform to share experiences and best practices from advanced public transport innovations worldwide and will delve into zero-emission bus strategies that can help mitigate climate change and improve urban air quality.
