On 14 October 2009, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation inaugurated its first dedicated bus transit service - Janmarg.
The Janmarg is a source of pride for the residents of Ahmedabad in Gujarat, and for good reason! The nearly 38 kilometer network of busways carries 90,000 passengers every day and has drastically improved the efficiency of the city’s transport network.
