Beginning 2nd March 2016, we bring to you our all-new Webinar series called Live! On The Hub, where you can watch our webinars via webcast on The Hub. The first webinar of the Live! On The Hub series is inspired by the rapidly expanding Car-Free Day movement in Gurgaon and Karnal, following the success of Raahgiri Days in these cities.

In order to promote sustainable modes of commuting on a regular basis, Gurgaon Police and the Gurgaon Administration, in partnership with the NASSCOM regional council and WRI India Sustainable Cities, with support from various businesses and media organizations started Car Free Days in Gurgaon. Car Free Day Gurgaon was launched with the request that people voluntarily give up their cars every Tuesday, and instead, use alternate modes of commuting. Despite a number of concerns regarding the outcome, the city administrations of Karnal supported the initiative and made it into a success story. It has gradually been adopted by other cities as well.

The panellists for this webinar included Sarika Panda Bhatt, Manager, Cities & Transport, WRI India Sustainable Cities; Mr. Pankaj Nain, Superintendent of Police, Karnal; Mr. Navdeep Singh Virk, Police Commissioner, Gurgaon and Dr. Manas Fuloria, Co founder & CEO, Nagarro Software Pvt Ltd.
