Improving the Implementation of Affordable Housing in Indian Cities

This project was undertaken during December 2018 – December 2020, with the support of the Ford Foundation. It aimed to build the capacity of Central and State Government officials involved in the implementation of affordable housing schemes, for bettering their scope and effectiveness. The project’s components included a detailed user needs assessment, development of relevant curriculum and content, conduct of training workshops, and proposition of a future learning framework.

The project entailed the creation of four learning modules:

These modules were deployed in workshops conducted in Surat, Delhi, and Raipur, and were disseminated to nearly 200 officials and other stakeholders.
