Tanushri is Executive Assistant to EMBARQ India’s Director . She is based in Mumbai and provides coordination and research support to the Director of EMBARQ India. Tanushri has more than four years of experience in the field of urban transportation planning and policy.
Prior to joining EMBARQ India, Tanushri worked as a transportation planner freelancing in transportation demand modeling projects and also as a Project Manager with Institute of Urban Transport (IUT). During her stint at IUT, she worked on Government of India’s Sustainable Urban Transport Project (GEF-SUTP). While working as a Research Assistant at University of Illinois at Chicago, she researched ways to improve public transit ridership with an emphasis on discounted pass programs.
Tanushri holds a Masters in Urban Planning and Policy from University of Illinois at Chicago and a Bachelors in Physical Planning from School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi. She has always been interested in the “people” component of urban transportation and was the recipient of Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS) President’s Legacy Scholarship (Greater Chicago Chapter) in 2008. In her free time, she likes to read and watch films.
