Prateek works with the Urban Innovation team as a Project Associate. He leads the enterprise engagement effort and works at intersect of transit agencies, entrepreneurs and investors. He innovates solutions which can facilitate a deeper understanding of issues and their resolution in the urban mobility space. He finds it interesting to discover linkages to real-world requirements and explore potential avenues for collaboration among the stake holders. His quest is to make sustainable solutions that will result in increased transport efficiencies and improved mobility experiences in urban centers.
Prateek became an acolyte of entrepreneurial spirit since his undergrad days, when he won the Piedmont Startup competition at South Carolina. In the last 5 years, he has played various roles including being a founder, startup employee, incubation manager, startup consultant and an investment professional in the US and India. Previously, he has worked with Tech Wildcatters, Paradigm Incubator, CIIE at IIM-Ahmedabad, 1Crowd and multiple startups.
Prateek holds an MBA in Finance and M.S. in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from University of Texas at Dallas in Texas and B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Clemson University in South Carolina. He has won numerous academic awards and fellowships in his academic career.
He is an avid sportsman, travel photographer, and completed a thru-hike of the Grand Canyon in 2016. His other passions include weightlifting, listening to rap and Liverpool FC.
