  • 30th - 31st August 2012 | Visakhapatnam: Representatives from over 20 city bus transport agencies, private operators, and other stakeholders, including organisations in Indore, Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai, Coimbatore, Rajkot and Naya Raipur attended a two-day training workshop conducted by EMBARQ India with support from the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC), in Visakhapatnam on 30th and 31st August 2012.

    August 27th 2012 | Chennai: EMBARQ India participated in a workshop in Chennai on Friday, August 24th, 2012 organised by Chennai City Connect, on promoting policy reforms and innovations in Chennai’s auto-rickshaw sector. EMBARQ India partner, Nirmal Kumar, founder of G-Auto service in cities in Gujarat, and Padmasree Harish, founder of Easy Auto service in Patna and Bangalore, were also at the workshop to showcase their initiatives to officials in Chennai.

  • 21st August 2012, Mumbai: A panel discussion on “Envisioning the Future Indian City: Car Centric City V/s Walkable Urbanism” was organised by The Urban Vision, a think tank set up with the core belief that cities offer a remarkable way to create a socially inclusive, environmentally sustainable and economically vibrant society. The event took place in Mumbai on Friday, 17th August 2012, hosted by Studio X, and was attended by around 35 people from diverse backgrounds, including students, urban planning professionals, and other interested groups.
