STAMP Challenge Accelerator Launch

The Station Access and Mobility Program (STAMP) kicked off the STAMP Challenge Accelerator with a panel discussion on the role of innovation and entrepreneurship in the future of urban mobility in Indian cities. The panel discussion was followed by a networking dinner at which the STAMP Challenge applicants had the opportunity to engage with the program's mentors and experts.

The event began with an update on the STAMP Project by Mr Sudeept Maiti and Ms Revathy Ashok. The presentation highlighted the STAMP data and the need for solutions to improve last mile connectivity to the metro. This was followed by an inaugural address by Mr Vikram Kirloskar, Vice Chairman, Toyota Kirloskar Motors. He highlighted the importance of market research, a good understanding of supply & value chains, risk assessment and contingency planning and a customer focussed approach as the principles components of success for any entrepreneurial venture reflecting on his own journey.

  • Dr. Ashwin Mahesh, CEO, Mapunity

The panel was moderated by Ms. Jyot Chadha, Strategy Head, Urban Innovations, WRI India.
